Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

Journal of Coastal Frontiers & Applied Development adheres strictly to the highest ethical and scientific publishing standards defined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1. Duties of Editors

The Editor-in-Chief evaluates submitted manuscripts exclusively based on their academic merit, relevance to frontier coastal development, methodological validity, and legal rigor—without regard to authors' nationality, institutional standing, or personal background. Decisions to publish are made transparently and free from commercial pressure.

2. Duties of Authors & Originality

Authors must confirm that their work represents entirely original findings. All empirical data gathered across the Krui region must be genuine and verifiable. Plagiarism in any form—including unauthorized data reproduction or paraphrasing without citation—constitutes unacceptable scientific misconduct.

3. Preprint & Working Paper Policy (COPE Standards)

JCFAD supports early scientific communication through author preprints. Depositing a preliminary manuscript as an open-access working paper on Zenodo (CERN) or the JCFAD repository is recognized as a valid method for establishing scientific priority of discovery (Prior Art). In accordance with COPE guidelines, such preprint depositions do not constitute prior publication and are explicitly excluded from dual-publication similarity penalties.

4. Data Availability & Transparency

Authors are encouraged to deposit empirical field datasets, sensor telemetry logs, and contractual models alongside their manuscripts in open-access data repositories with persistent identifiers.
